Clinic by the Bay is scheduled to open late summer 2010.  The clinic will be open initially two days per week -- Tuesdays, 4 - 8 p.m. and Thursdays, 2 - 6 p.m.  Eligibility appointments will be available on a walk-in and scheduled basis on non-clinic days.  When open, Clinic by the Bay will provide primary and preventive medical care to uninsured adults ages 18 and older.

Services will include:

  • Primary and on-going care
  • Wellness/general health exams
  • Preventive healthcare - health education
  • Acute care and minor procedures
  • Prescription assistance
  • Specialty referral
  • Well woman exams
  • Well man exams
  • Family planning
  • Psychosocial assessment & referral
  •  

    Services the clinic will NOT provide include:

  • Travel medicine
  • Elective or cosmetic surgical referrals
  • Fertility testing or counseling
  • Paternity or any genetic testing
  • Vasectomies
  • Drug testing for employment
  • Worker's compensation evaluations or disability evaluations
  • Long-term/in-depth mental health counseling
  • Substance abuse treatment
  • Chronic pain management
  • Eyeglass prescriptions
  • I want to take care of myself, but I have to wait for an emergency.
