Executive Director
Eliza Gibson, LCSW

Eliza is a licensed clinical social worker with more than twelve years experience developing and managing programs as well as providing direct clinical and supportive services to youth, adults and families nationally and internationally. Her clinical and administrative background includes work in hospitals, emergency rooms, community mental health clinics and community-based organizations.

Dr. Mary Ann Miner

 

Mary Ann is a board certified gynecologist with 20 years of clinical experience as a member of Kaiser Permanente's physician's group and in private practice. She first became involved with the clinic as a member of our Medical Advisory Board and officially joined the clinic's staff in May 2010.
     
     
Clinic Manager
Maria Silveira, RN, ANP-BC, MPH

Maria is an Adult Nurse Practitioner with clinical experience in a diversity of settings throughout San Francisco, including San Francisco General Hospital, Laguna Honda Hospital, and the San Francisco Veterans Affairs medical Center. She also has several years of experience managing clinical research studies.

Viela DuPont
A San Francisco native, Viela was born and raised in the Excelsior/Outer Mission. She has worked in local brokerage operations for the last 30 years, primarily in staff and project management.

Emari Dimagiba, MA
Emari's career in health communications and social justice advocacy spans more than 20 years in the areas of reproductive health, youth development, and social marketing.
     
     

AmeriCorps VISTA
Paulani Mui

Paulani is a recent graduate from U.C. Berkeley, with a double major in Psychology and Integrative Biology. As an AmeriCorps VISTA, she is helping to develop and oversee the clinic's eligibility screening and community referral processes.
     

     

 

As a social worker, I have seen hardworking people fall through the cracks of our health care system far too many times. Volunteers in Medicine is about addressing this all-too-common problem for the uninsured, and it's about giving health care professionals the chance to care for their own community the way they should be able to.
