She first became involved with the clinic as a member of our Medical Advisory Board and officially joined the clinic's staff in May 2010. | ||||

Maria is an Adult Nurse Practitioner with clinical experience in a diversity of settings throughout San Francisco, including San Francisco General Hospital, Laguna Honda Hospital, and the San Francisco Veterans Affairs medical Center. She also has several years of experience managing clinical research studies.

Volunteers in Medicine is about addressing this all-too-common problem for the uninsured, and it's about giving health care professionals the chance to care for their own community the way they should be able to.
