Volunteers in Medicine is a win for the people it serves, giving them respect and dignity. It is a win for health professionals who can practice medicine without bureaucracy and time restrictions. It is a win for the community giving it a program its residents can take pride in, and it is a win for hospitals taking people out of emergency rooms where they don't belong.
